Ah, not only do we get out of school on a snow day..... Even better we got to do some of the best sledding!
Grant
Man, what memories. I lived on Bertram lane next to the monestery. Remember the night sledding when it turned to ice. The bonfires we would make by tearing wood off of the old barnhouse that was there. Among the other things that happened on the hill. I will always remember those times. Some of the best of my life. What has happened to the hill? Developers?
The hill is now largely covered by Mount Vernon Square Apartments. There are also relatively new houses up at the top, where the actual farm house was. I have some old home movies looking up the hill from Milway Drive -- seeing the hill barren is strange now that I have grown accustomed to the apartments up there!
